István Széchenyi University

István Széchenyi University was founded in 1968 and is located in Győr. The main campus of the University of Győr (Széchenyi István University) is situated along the Danube River, just a few minutes' walk from the city center. Recently, the university has undergone a large-scale infrastructure renewal, including the expansion of student housing with the addition of two new facilities, high-quality and well-equipped dormitories. With its international integration program, from September 2019, 24 programs taught in English at all levels will be offered. The international Bachelor’s programs include Automotive Engineering, Logistics Engineering, Civil Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Food Engineering, Business Administration & Management, and a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations.

In the field of university-business cooperation, Audi Hungaria and the University of Győr are collaborating on a unique project. Since 2015, they have jointly established the “Audi Hungaria Automotive Engineering Department,” which currently has six professorships: internal combustion engines, automotive production technology, vehicle development, materials science and technology, environmental engineering, logistics, and transportation. The involvement of company experts at the University of Győr is strengthened by the direct participation of Audi Hungaria experts in lectures and research.
