With the foundation of MATE, one of the largest multidisciplinary higher education institutions focusing on agriculture in Europe, it was renamed from Szent István University on February 1, 2021.
MATE has 5 campuses in 5 cities across Hungary, each with its own charm and rich history. Our Georgian Agricultural Science Faculty in Keszthely is the oldest regular agricultural higher education institution in Europe, established on July 1, 1797.
